Physio Control Lifepak CR+ Paediatric Defibrillation Electrodes
For use with the Lifepak CR+, these paediatric electrodes allow a rescuer to deliver a life-saving defibrillation shock to a child aged 1-8 suffering from a cardiac arrest.
- 1 set of Paediatric Defibrillation Electrodes
Paediatric electrodes are essential for environments where young children are often present. Connecting these pads automatically reduces the size of shock delivered to a victim to 50 joules, making it suitable for a child’s heart.
- Helpful diagrams to assist with pad placement
- Packaged in protective foil cover to ensure safety of pads
- Sticky gel adhesive applied to electrodes to ensure they’re secure upon placing them on the victim
Once paediatric pads are connected to a defibrillator, your unit will immediately recognise this and will carry out the rescue as appropriate for a child.
With one electrode positioned on the centre of the child’s chest and the other on the centre of their back, your AED will immediately analyse for a shockable rhythm, advising whether defibrillation is required. At this point, you will be asked to position yourself safely away from the casualty so it can deliver a shock (fully-automatic) or to administer the shock by pressing a button (semi-automatic).
As all electrodes are single use only, we do advise for you to carry a spare set with your AED at all times. This means there is never a time where your defibrillator is without its vital electrodes and you are always able to carry out a rescue.
