Heartsine launched their first range of life-saving AEDs in 1998, and have since been developing their products in an effort to provide the best possible equipment for the treatment of cardiac arrest.

Their trademark product is the Samaritan PAD which stands for; “Public Access Defibrillator,” making it the perfect product to have in busy locations such as shopping centres, schools and sport arenas. These locations are frequently occupied by individuals who may not be familiar with the functions of an AED; fortunately the Samaritan range has been designed to be straightforward and easy to use that just about anyone can use it to save a life.

Choosing your defibrillator

Heartsine’s Samaritan Pad comes in a variety of options for you to choose from, allowing you to choose a device based on the experience of its potential users. The Samaritan offers both semi and fully automatic devices with a variety of functions, so you can make your choice based on what you require from your defib.

Each device, regardless of which model you choose, has a friendly design and provides helpful and instructive visual and voice prompts to help guide the user through the whole process, from attaching the pads to delivering effective CPR. The AED itself is easy to handle and has been manufactured with simplicity in mind so any user of any experience will feel confident enough to operate it and deliver life-saving care.

Using your Heartsine device

Once you’ve made the decision on your device, what we recommend you do is to book one of our CPR and AED courses to help build your confidence with handling the device and learn how to use it to its full potential.

Our courses are some of the only ones where you can learn on an exact training model of your chosen device! We’re extremely proud to offer this unique service, and find that it helps users understand all of the individual features of your chosen device, and increase their confidence should they need to use it.
