Connected technology AEDs will connect to bespoke program management software once switched on. This will allow you to easily monitor the device remotely, including self-test results, battery and pad expiry dates. You will also be notified of any failures that could possibly prevent the device from being able to provide life-saving treatment, ensuring this can be acted on immediately and return the AED to it's fully functional, working condition.
Maintenance Importance
AEDs save lives, but in order for them to do this, they must be in a fully optimal and working condition. Maintaining your device is therefore just as important as it is to own one. Time is precious when it comes to responding to a cardiac emergency. Therefore, it is crucial to have immediate access to a working AED once a person has fallen victim to SCA. The victims chance of survival increases from 6%-74% if treatment is delivered within 3-5 minutes of collapse.
