Have you made the life-saving investment of a LIFEPAK CR Plus defibrillator? Well, we’ve put together some need-to-know information about your device.
Discontinuation of CR Plus
Worldwide manufacturer, Physio Control, has recently announced the discontinuation of their LIFEPAK CR Plus defibrillator, which has been one of their top-selling models since 2002. This decision has been made to allow the company more time to focus on adding new, innovative technologies to their portfolio.
As of April 1st, 2019, the LIFEPAK CR Plus will be discontinued.
Despite the discontinuation of the device, Physio Control will remain committed to customers by ensuring that the accessories they need, including the CHARGE-PAK battery chargers and electrode pads, will still be available to purchase. In addition to this, any LIFEPAK CR Plus device bought before April 1st, 2019 will still have an 8-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Life after the LIFEPAK CR Plus
We may be saying goodbye to the CR Plus model, but LIFEPAK will still live on through the CR2 range. This defibrillator model is available in both semi and fully automatic configurations, has an IP Rating of 55 and offers two connectivity options: 3G and Wi-Fi.
cprINSIGHT is another life-saving feature of the LIFEPAK CR2 defibrillator, enabling chest compressions to be administered on a sudden cardiac arrest casualty while the device is still analysing their heart rhythm. This technological advancement allows for more ‘hands-on’ time during the rescue process, ultimately improving a patient’s chance of survival.
