Safecontractor Approved Award

Safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises very high standards in health and safety
management amongst UK contractors and businesses.To achieve the award under the Safecontractor scheme, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice.
The award is applicable to most industry sectors, however it is particularly relevant to food manufacture, property, facilities management, retail and leisure sectors, all of which are big users of contracted services.

We’re thrilled to have won this award and to have been recognised for our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our employees.

Cardiac Smart Gold Award 

Aiming to recognise companies or individuals who ‘have made outstanding efforts to save the life of a person suffering a cardiac arrest’, including the ability to raise awareness of the Chain of Survival in its four stages, the Cardiac Smart Award can be awarded on three levels.

The award is presented by the North West Ambulance Service and can be won at Bronze and Silver levels – but defibshop has earned the Gold accolade for ticking all the required boxes including:

  • Increasing numbers of personnel trained in Basic Life Support
  • AED awareness sessions offered to the wider community
  • Ability to sustain their work

This is an incredibly prestigious award and we are very proud to have earned the Gold standard from the NWAS and we thank them for recognising the work we do in the community with AED placement and training.

Salford Business Awards Excellence Runner Up 2014

With hundreds of applicants entering to win one of just nine awards, the Salford Business Awards are an esteemed event and 2014 was no different.

The awards recognise the work of local businesses in the Salford area and we are incredibly proud to have won the Runners Up award in the “Excellence Award” category. This award focuses on a business’s standards in terms of customer service, internal strength and the ability to progress.

We have won this award on two occasions which we feel is a fantastic achievement considering the amount of competition at the event and proves that we are continuing to grow and we have the ability to progress as a team and a company.

The Investors in People award is all about business improvement and we have achieved this award through targeting our chosen business priorities and working towards them in conjunction with Investors in People.

It is an independently assessed award and the leading management benchmark of business improvement which our customers greatly value as it shows our commitment to them but also to our own staff.

Insight 100 Customer Service Award in Training Services 2013
 
We were thrilled to receive the Insight 100 Customer Service Award in Training Services after accumulating an impressive customer satisfaction score of 84%.

Insight 100 recognises organisations which are passionate about customer services, like ourselves, and the well-being of their employees and then to award those which demonstrate their potential or their motivation to creating the best experience for their customers.

Sunday Times - Non Executive Director of the Year 2013
 
Nominated by us at Imperative Training, Non-Executive Director Jo Haigh was awarded the Peel Hunt/Sunday Times Non Executive Director of the year in the privately-owned companies’ category.

Jo was named as a finalist in the privately owned companies’ category at the awards and since coming on board, Jo’s innovative style and pure determination have helped to double our business turnover as well as increase our number of in-house staff by 3 times. 

Best Business Awards - Customer Focus Winner 2012
 
We were nominated for this award due to our work with the organisation Creative Support and the training sessions we provided for their staff within the centres as well as the service users.

Andrew Areoff, Chairman of the Judges, had this to say on the award to Imperative Training in the Best Customer Focus category; “Providing health and safety training to companies is a vital service that could save people’s lives and Imperative Training impressed the judges with its commitment to delivering the best possible customer service. By keeping trainers up to date with the latest guidelines, the company ensures trainers provide a high standard of training and comments obtained from students attending each course are always followed up and fed back into the business.”

Salford Business Excellence Award Runner-up 2012

After entering the Salford Business Awards for the first time in 2012,  we were shortlisted for the Excellence Award, and ultimately finished with the Runners-Up award for the category which we feel was a remarkable achievement given the competition in the category.

The Salford Business Awards recognises businesses across a wide range of areas and to win an award on the evening means a lot to the business given the competition and organisations in the local area.
